Kiki Gilderhus

Dr. Kiki Gilderhus serves as the Associate Dean of the College of Performing and Visual Arts. Previously she served as the Provost of Rocky Mountain College of Art and Design where her responsibilities included curriculum and program development, accreditation, and assessment. Prior to her appointment as Provost, she was the Head of Art History, Chair of Liberal Arts, and the Dean of Academic Affairs at RMCAD. She has presented on aspects of art and design assessment at the National Association of Schools of Art and Design annual meeting, the International GUIDE Association conference, and the National Conference on the Beginning Design Student.

Dr. Gilderhus received her Ph.D and MA in Art History at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Her research focuses and the intersections between modern European and Latin American art, particularly the relationship between ancient Mexican architecture and geometric abstraction in the work of Josef Albers. Dr. Gilderhus teaches art history surveys, modern Latin American art, modern German art, and American art. She has taught art history at Kent State University, University of Akron, Colorado State University, and RMCAD.
